Install and setup Adrenaline
The Adrenaline app is not exactly an emulator but is used to replicate a PSP so that you can play PSP and PS1 games on your Vita. After downloading the app and launch it for the first time, Adrenaline will need to download, install and setup the firmware. If you used the Quick App Donloader to install Adrenaline, the firmware was already pre downloaded.
Launch adrenaline and press CROSS when asked, this will unpack and install the firmware. once completed, go through the PSP setup process.
Once this initial install and setup is completed you shouldnt need to do this again
Where do I put my games?
PSP games must be in ISO format
and placed in the location:
ux0:pspemu/ISO/TheGameName.iso
PS1 games must be an eboot.pbp
and placed in the location:
ux0:pspemu/psp/game/GAMEID/eboot.pbp
eboot files are usually already in a folder with the GameID so for example you could have /SLES0012/eboot.pbp
Can i launch games from the Vita home screen (LiveArea)?
If you install Adrenaline Bubble manager you can use this app to create custom bubbles (shortcuts) to the PSP / PS1 games.
Do ALL PSP and PS1 games work in Adrenaline?
The simple answer is no, there are a few games that currently refuse to work and some have issues making them unplayable. MOST games should work but not all, even if you have a working version on the PSP.
Examples of this include :
'Star Wars EP1 - Phantom Menace'
'Jackie Chan Stuntmaster'
'Destruction Derby 2'
and a handful of others
