RetroArch is a free and open-source, cross-platform frontend for emulators, game engines, video games, media players and other applications. In more basic terms its a menu / launcher for games and emulators
If you have installed Retroarch on your system it needs a lot of time and work to actually set things up and can often run into several issues.
for example you need to setup your controller, the cores (emulators), bios files, rom paths and all sort which can be very overwhelming and not always go to plan so its recomeded that you use a pre-build such as 'Crazymac'
The Crazymac Retroarch build is pre setup and preloaded with lots of content including Games, Screenshots, Bios files and takes the hard work and pressure out of trying to create a stable setup yourself. It does use an older version of Retroarch but there isnt really much advantage updating
Crazymac comes in 2 versions, Lite and Mega.
The Lite version is around 20gb and contains 1000s of games for various consoles such as NES, SNES, Gameboy, SEGA Genesis / Megadrive and more.
The Mega version contains everything that the Lite does but also includes several CD based games / systems such as MegaCD and PS1 making it around 120gb
To be honest, the Lite version is recommended as it contains plenty of games and doesnt eat away at storage
How / Where do i find the Crazymac builds?
You will first need to download and install on a computer a Torrent downloader app such as BitTorrent or uTorrent, once you have this installed you will then need the .Torrent file for the build you are looking to download.
Crazymac LITE build.torrent
Crazymac MEGA build.torrent
The torrent file itself doesnt actually contain the data and is only a small file, the torrent file acts as a kind of link to help instruct the Torrent downloader on what and where to download the actual files its referencing.
Once you have downloaded 'all' the files within the torrent you should see 'vita.retro.lite.part01.rar', part02, part03, etc.. these will need to be extracted using a file extraction app such as WinZip, WinRar, 7Zip. once fully extracted you should find the installation instructions along with the actual files
The whole thing from start to finish can take a while and needs plenty of space on your computer for the extraction process and you may make a mistake the first time, but the end result is extreamly rewarding.
